Piping Team Leader | Permanent Contract | Multi-site
Who we are
Verdon SA is a Belgian company based in Courcelles, specialized in two areas of excellence: industrial piping and modular construction dedicated to data centers. Our multidisciplinary teams work on ambitious projects, with rigorous standards and a culture of continuous improvement rooted in our DNA.
We are currently looking for a Piping Team Leader to lead and grow our team of pipefitters in the field.
The role
You are the link between production and the piping team. You organize, coordinate and secure operations on site, while remaining operationally hands-on in prefabrication and installation work. Your role is twofold: leading your team and staying close to the trade itself.
In practice, you will:
→ Organize, plan and allocate work within the piping team.
→ Coordinate operations with welders and other trades on site.
→ Estimate execution times, sequence operations and flag any deviations.
→ Ensure compliance with deadlines, site priorities and HSE rules (PPE, hot work permits, lockout/tagout procedures).
→ Handle the administrative follow-up of activity (tracking sheets, intervention reports, material/time records) and report to management.
→ Train and support the team's skills development.
→ Personally carry out prefabrication, installation and assembly of piping networks (reading isometric and P&ID drawings, marking out, cutting, bending, flanging, assembly).
→ Check dimensional compliance and tightness of installations (hydraulic/pneumatic pressure tests).
What you bring
You have built your expertise in the field, in demanding industrial environments, and you have already taken on a coordination or supervisory role. You know how to combine technical rigor with hands-on leadership.
Your profile:
→ Proven experience in industrial piping, with initial experience leading a team or site.
→ Strong knowledge of materials (carbon steel/stainless steel, alloys) and assemblies (flanges, fittings, valves).
→ Comfortable reading isometric and P&ID drawings; proficient with manual and power tools.
→ Good knowledge of cutting, bending and threading techniques, and dimensional tolerances.
→ Command of HSE rules and the ability to enforce them within the team.
→ An asset: basic knowledge of welding (processes, joint preparation) and non-destructive testing.
→ Comfortable with digital tools (tablet/PC) for drawing consultation and reporting.
What we offer:
→ Hourly wage between €19.5 and €20.5 + €0.25 gross/hour bonus.
→ €6.2 net/day allowance.
→ Meal vouchers: €10/day.
→ Mobile phone with subscription plan.
→ Group insurance (employer contribution of 2.09% of gross annual salary, no employee contribution).
→ Hospitalization insurance: CAR METAL.
→ 2 extra-legal days off.
→ Annual gift voucher of €40/employee + per dependent child.
→ Eco-vouchers: €35.
→ Year-end bonus (after 1 year of seniority, as provided under the Joint Committee).
→ In-house training through the Verdon Academy.
→ A company culture built on trust, cooperation and collective intelligence.
